Shellac records and gramophones

Already as a child shellac records and gramophones have fascinated me. The texts of the old hits were funny for me really and many of the records have gotten over my infancy and the rough treatment of that time.
" What you do with the knee, dear Hans ", " the song about fishing rod" and "Tango-Max" were the favorites.
Then later I started searching aimed for old records. I exchanged the records, for example, with the propaganda of the National Committee Free Germany, for used safety belts for a "Trabant"-car !
Today first of all the content of the records interests me. Some are absolutely from historic interest, other simply nostalgically. However, just the quite old hits can also expel the bad mood.
I hear early recordings of classic music particularly gladly, because by the imperfection of the sound the music has another effect on me. With singing people, even more the voice of the interpreter causes by the sound procedure in the foreground. I find this particularly attractively, in the glaring contrast to today where the person seems to step in the background before roaring loud synthetic music.
However, my biggest wish was always a "correct" gramophone. Now he is fulfilled! I have brought the gramophone in the left picture of a Sweden-vacation. Besides, I am a proud owner of three functional suitcase gramophones and a table gramophone with inside-lying funnel.

Height points of my collection are without doubt
the records of the National Committee Free Germany in german

The funnel in the picture should become the store of a gramophone. I have found him as a child on a rubbish tip. However, the search for the remaining gramophone was vain. How with so a lot of intentions it has still thought to this day. The funnel waits with other gramophone ingredients in my lumber room for "sound full" times. Today to other parts is already more attention assign become. I could pull myself together actually to some manual labour and build an electric gramophone. (On the page " How  i make the sound recordings" described)

I find this sound box with mica membrane and wooden tone arm particularly interesting. I had already started to build a wood funnel to produce a gramophone from it...
Although the membrane has a tear, the sound is good astonishingly. This part brought me on the idea to build the electric gramophone.
